Good morning all, Morning rounds just finished up so we have a good idea of the plan today. She had a pretty good night last night, though there was some issue with clots in the ECMO machine circuit. They were able deal with it and it wasn't a problem. At this point with the flows being lower there is a higher risk for clotting to show up and they are very careful to check all the tubes.
As for the rest of the day, they are going to challenge her heart again today, around noonish I think. Being on hospital time it could be before, it could be after. We just go with the flow. The surgeon has another operation he is doing today (probably as I'm writing this) and after he is going to clean out and replace her dressing again. I think the plan might be to challenge her heart again at that time too.
