Ruby had a really good night, she slept well and there was no drama. So far this morning she has been in and out of sleep, she seems to be resting better than she had before yesterday. Her white blood cell count has decreased which means she is getting better (infection-wise).
She is still fully ventilated with a 75% oxygen coming through the vent. Her oxygen saturation is hovering in the high 80s low 90s this morning, very nice to see. She had an echo done and for the most part it looks like things are still the same. The cardiologist said something about the pressures on one side of her valves being higher now than it was before. It isn't good to have the pressure higher, but he seemed to indicate that it was a small change. Also the clot has not moved (clot or bacteria vegetation, they aren't 100% sure what it is. He called it a goober 😆).
So the plan at rounds today was to get the report from the cardiologist about the echo, then start making some small changes on the vent and see how she responds. We will see how things go today, no changes have been made yet.
