Day 28 - Morning

· Ruby's IWK Journey

Written by Charlotte

Ruby had a good day yesterday, slept a lot and was able to keep her SATs above 90 for most of the day.

Around 7:30 she had a rough start to her night, her blood pressure went down, and so did her SATs, because she was having a good sleep while I was holding her. They tried reducing the dose of some of the medications and then that set her off and made her really upset, then they did a bunch of adjustments to try to get her comfortable again, did an X-ray etc. Her nurse kept patting her on the belly to "comfort her" but I'm convinced it was just hurting her more.

She seemed to settle out eventually... We didn't get to bed until 1am, and I heard this morning that they finally turned her onto her belly around 1:30am, then her sats came up and she had a better night after that.
