We made it through the day and Ruby is still stable. Her heart has been ejecting, even as her blood pressure has been a little high this afternoon/evening, so that is positive. Yesterday her heart was not able to overcome the higher pressures post-op, so seeing a bit of activity and strength now seems like a good sign to Dr. Horne. So the continuing goal is to keep her stable and let her heart continue to rest. There is a pretty constant buzz in her room as the nurses, RT's, specialists, and doctors adjust all the different meds and machines to balance all of her graphs (oxygen saturation, blood pressure, heart rate, etc). Please keep praying that her heart gets the rest it needs to heal.
